This September, the Open Door Shelter is putting a renewed emphasis on children from low income families. These kids quickly fall behind in school when their families are forced to move around for work. Here, at ODS, we offer an after school program available to current ODS children as well as past clients. The program is run by retired teachers and social workers to provide an additional opportunity for education to enhance the futures of our shelter children.
