Community Closet donations: Last Tuesday of each month, 1-3pm at Open Doors’ Smilow Life Center
Street address is 55 Chestnut Street, Norwalk, CT 06854 but please use the building’s side entrance on Merritt Place.

Open Doors’ community closet is a resource that provides quality wardrobes and household essentials for people dealing with poverty here in our community. Please respect the dignity of our clients and donate only items you would be proud to give to a friend or family member.
Food donations: Grocery pantry donations, Monday through Friday, 9:30am-noon. Bring nonperishable items or fresh fruits and vegetables to our grocery pantry at Open Doors’ Smilow Life Center.

Please reach out to us if you’d like to sponsor a prepared meal! Open Doors serves hot meals every day of the week to anyone who needs help with food.
Book donations: Open Doors has a neighborhood book-sharing box at the front of our Smilow Life Center. Books in good condition for all ages and reading levels are appreciated, particularly those written in Spanish or Haitian Creole. You can refill the book-sharing box at Open Doors’ Smilow Life Center, 55 Chestnut Street, Norwalk, CT 06854 (near the sidewalk, close to the Norwalk Community Health Center entrance) any time.
