Feeding 500
Feeding 500 is a student leadership and service group that is dedicated to providing 500 meals to people who come to Open Doors for assistance. They reach this goal through food drives, fundraising, and volunteer hours.
Feeding 500 was launched by a dedicated group of high school students in New Canaan in 2020 and now has two chapters, Darien and New Canaan. New chapters will be starting in the spring of 2022!

Donate Items
Donating items is a great way to directly meet people’s needs. Thank you for respecting the dignity of our clients and only donating items that you would be proud to give to a friend or family member!
Food
Donations of fresh and shelf-stable food help keep our grocery pantry stocked and provide nutritious meals for low-income households in our community.
- 9:30am to noon, Monday through Friday (except holidays)
- Contact us to coordinate a donation time for large pantry deliveries or to help sponsor a prepared meal!
