Open Doors was proud to distribute more than 225 Thanksgiving food baskets to low-income households in the community, including a turkey and all the fixings for the traditional Thanksgiving side dishes to be made at home. Open Doors staff and volunteers also held Thanksgiving dinner at the Smilow Life Center so that people could celebrate the holiday together safely.
“Being a part of this organization is more than amazing,” Open Doors Food Program Manager Terano Prior said. “It means so much to me to be able to put a smile and more so to be able to see smiles on the faces.”
